During the September 22nd Professional Day, Thomas Kidd staff participated in a numeracy workshop led by District Numeracy Consultants. During the workshop staff learned about numeracy curricular competencies, how to assess numeracy instruction and use it to inform practice. They also participated in grade group break out sessions where instructional routines were modelled for them. During the break out sessions staff were guided through lessons that focussed on computational fluency. Thomas Kidd staff have continued to work with the Elementary Numeracy Consultant after the Professional Development Day.
