We were unable to do many school-wide assemblies and activities during COVID.  We wanted to rebuild our connections, relationships to help our self-regulation, self-awareness and support student problem solving strategies during the 2022-23 school year.

As a result, we re-focused on our SHARP matrix and used the language in our classroom and around the school on a daily basis.  We did a school-wide activity and each buddy class made posters and talked about the language and how to support their feelings and calm down strategies in challenging situations.  

The SHARP visuals in the classroom and hallway helped staff and students with consistent and positive language. It also anchored our SEL competencies of Social Responsibility and Social Awareness.
