On Friday we celebrated Diwali with elders from our community.  Our students learned about the meaning of Diwali, decorated oil lamps, and made connections with a group of seniors from the South Arm Community Centre who recently donated funds to our Breakfast Club.  When we make connections with our community our children learn that there is a wider circle of people who care about them.
