Year End Reflections

This year we noticed that increasing our Breakfast Club to Wednesdays and Fridays, as well as providing a recess snack each day helped our students feel calmer and ready to learn.  Using common language from the Zones of Regulation helped all of our staff and students have ways to describe their feelings and emotions.  The school-wide activities helped our students learn more about their big buddies, as well as connect with staff at school other than their classroom teacher.

In June, we surveyed all of our students and learned that everyone named one or more adults who they could turn to if they needed help.  We also learned from our survey that more students are using strategies to manage their feelings and emotions.  This means that we have made good progress, and still need to continue on this for next year.
