Computational Fluency Learning in Action
The pictures show some specific actions that staff are doing to support student learning in numeracy. In the first picture a student is using the decomposing strategy to solve three digit addition computations. The other picture represents an instructional strategy called Number Talk where students are invited to share everything that they know about the number 21. Students used computational strategies such as using doubles plus 1, repeated addition and many other creative ways to show their thinking.
